Aurobindo Pharma and Divis laboratory donates CSR funds for breakfast scheme in government schools
Hyderabad, July 24: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has said that the State Government is considering ways to support local farmers in areas where the centralized kitchens have been established. The government is ready to encourage the farmers to cultivate organic crops so that vegetables, rice, and other necessary supplies can be procured directly from them.
Representatives from the Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation, Divi’s Laboratories Limited, and Aurobindo Pharma Limited met CM Revanth Reddy at MCRHRD institute today. Divi’s Laboratories Limited and Aurobindo Pharma Limited handed over CSR funds to the Foundation for the breakfast scheme in government schools in the presence of the Chief Minister. Aurobindo Pharma Limited contributed ₹10 crore, while Divi’s Laboratories Limited contributed ₹12.18 crore.
During the interaction with the representatives, the CM mentioned that measures are being taken to provide farmers with quality seeds which not only promote crop diversification but also ensure profitability for the farmers.
The Chief minister explained the importance of providing quality breakfast and mid-day meals to students through the Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation. The CM commended the organizations for contributing CSR funds on this occasion.
Government Advisor Ramakrishna Rao, CM’s Principal Secretary N. Sridhar, and the President of the Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation participated in the event. Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Prabhu-ji, Madhu Babu (Vice President, Divi’s Laboratories Ltd.), Nityananda Reddy (Managing Director, Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.), and others participated.
