The Indus River starts in China and goes through India to Pakistan. Indus is 1800m miles long and 500 miles of Indus is in India. It is the critical part of the Indus, through which water goes to Pakistan. Not many people in India or Pakistan were aware that India gives Pakistan 80% of its water. Most Pakistanis thought that River Indus was coming directly from the sky and not from India. Now, Pakistanis got a deadly reminder that India was generous to them. But now India has woken up.
More than any bomb or battle, suspension of the *Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan has upset all their strategies. Just imagine how kind India is that they allowed Indus to flow to Pakistan, even when they were killing Indians through terrorism. In 2008, Pakistani terrorists killed 300 Indians in Bombay. Yet, India did not stop the Indus. Are we saints or just fools?
On April 22, 2025, Pakistani terrorists killed 28 Indian innocents. On April 23, 2025, Modi government announced that the 1960 Indus Agreement with Pakistan is suspended. Only a very small number of people in India and Pakistan knew that we controlled the Indus River. The 25 crore Pakistanis got a shock of their life to know India controlled the Indus River.
Indus River is India’s Brahmastra:
The Indus River is really the Brahmastra of India against Pakistan. According to Hindus, “Brahmastra is a divine weapon, created by Lord Brahma and is a weapon of mass destruction, from which there is no escape “.
Narendra Modi and Indus River:
In 2016, there was a massive terrorist attack in Kashmir by Pakistan. Prime Minister Modi said that “Blood and water cannot flow together “. Few people understood the meaning of what Modi said. But Modi was referring to Indus water going to Pakistan.
Then after the Pahalgam terrorist attack on April 22, 2025, Modi government announced that “ Indus water Treaty with Pakistan is suspended. This meant that India can do what it likes. .
Immediately, Pakistani politicians attacked India and warned that they will use atomic bombs on India, if Indus is stopped. This showed Pakistani panic. Pakistan entirely forgot that India controlled their life.
Pakistan’s reaction to suspension of *Indus treaty :
- Pakistanis understood that India made a big threat. Pakistan knows that if India stops the Indus, their economy will be finished. All the threats of Pakistan would mean nothing. Pakistanis were shocked that though they were killing Indi9ans, India never used the INDUS Brahmastra .
- The common Pakistanis were stunned to learn that their water was coming due to them mercy of India..Pakistanis understood that their worst enemy India controlled their water. It is the beginning fio a nightmare for Pakistan.
Reaction in India :
- Entire India was shocked that we have been giving life-supporting water to Pakistan, even though Pakistani has been attacking India since 1947. Indians were shocked to learn that India signed Indus treaty in 1960 and even after that Pakistan has been totally hostile and warring with India.
- There is total support in India that Indus water should be stopped to Pakistan immediately. Indians were also shocked that India never used the INDUS Brahmastra earlier…
- Indians are now satisfied that Indus River should be used against Pakistan, till it learns a lesson. Nehru signed the treaty in 1960, hoping for peace. But Pakistan started total war against India after 1960. .
What will happen if Indus River is stopped?
- It is a fact that immediately India cannot be stopped from going to Pakistan, since there are no dams and diversion canals yet. Moreover, India should not alienate world opinion, by sounding brutal.
- India can quickly build tunnels to divert some water within a few months.
- India will wait and see how Pakistan reacts to suspension of Indus River Treaty. This has never been done before. Indian irrigation Minister C.R. Patil said that not a drop of water will go to Pakistan.
- India has been pushed to its limits by Pakistan, which has allied with China. It is now upto Pakistan to answer India, if they want Indus water.
Pakistan has now woken up from its sleep, learning that thinking Indus River is coming from India and not from the sky.

What India should do:
- A great threat has been made to Pakistan. Pakistan has much to worry about, as it is an entirely un-expected threat. But India But straight away, India should not sue the full threat of stopping Indus.
- A clear and great threat should never be used fully. Once it is used, a Brahmastram cannot be re-used. Once it is sued, then such a Brahamstra cannot be used again. because that fear will be gone. Show the “Brahmastra”. But use it sparingly.
- Indians are saintly people. In a wicked world, with dangerous neighbors like Pakistan and we can never sleep. There should be no rush to suddenly stop the Indus. But dams and canals should be built to use it in future. But a serious threat, India should consider reducing Indus water flow by 5 or 10 %.

India is a great civilization. We have now shown the “Indus River Brahmastra “The threat should be used masterfully. .On April 23, 2025, Pakistan woke up to a real nightmare. India had shown that it might stop the Indus.
In the meantime, India should improve its security. In war, attacking is very different from defending from defending. If India attacks, then it must have 5 times the superiority over Pakistan.
