CM Revanth Reddy inaugurated Sanathnagar TIMS in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, August 17: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced that the construction of the new Osmania hospital, LB Nagar, Alwal TIMS and Warangal super specialty hospitals would be completed and ready for medical services for Telangana people by December 9, 2027. Once these projects are completed, a total of 10,000 hospital beds will be available in the state, the Chief Minister said that a dedicated Director for each hospital would be appointed to oversee operations and also sanction funds to provide necessary facilities for the attendants of patients visiting the hospital.

Addressing a meeting after inaugurating the Sanathnagar TIMS hospital today, the CM emphasized that measures should be taken to run these new TIMS hospitals on par with corporate hospitals. CM Revanth Reddy ordered the officials to provide incentives for super-specialty doctors who are ready to serve extra time in the government hospitals.

The Chief Minister claimed that after assuming office, the people’s government-initiated measures to complete the TIMS hospitals at Sanathnagar, LB Nagar, and Alwal, as well as the Warangal super specialty hospital. ” Revanth Anna ” government was instilling confidence in the people that a pro-people government was providing healthcare to the needy.

Expressing concern over increasing cost of the private healthcare services, the CM said that we established TIMS to make corporate-standard healthcare accessible to the poor. Since assuming office, the people’s government has spent ₹2,700 crore on the Arogyasri scheme and Rs 2,526 crore were released under the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF). A total of Rs ₹5,226 crore was spent on healthcare for the poor till date. In the last two years, the government spent ₹21,800 crore on the Medical and Health Department.

CM Revanth Reddy criticized the previous BRS government for not constructing a new Osmania hospital despite the existing one being in dilapidated condition for 10 years. The KCR government merely laid foundation stones for the TIMS hospitals and the Warangal hospital but abandoned the projects, the Chief Minister charged.

The CM alleged that the BRS leaders focused more on constructing farmhouses at Erravalli, Janwada, Moinabad, and Shankarpally. The previous government ignored the health sector completely and the leaders should introspect at least now.

The Chief Minister ridiculed KTR’s claim of constructing the TIMS hospitals by the BRS government. The CM recalled KTR’s conversation with some patients during his visit to a mental hospital near TIMS. KTR went to the mental hospital located nearby and asked the patients, “I am the one who built TIMS, don’t you recognize me?” A patient there reportedly replied, “Calm down, son; I used to talk just like that in the beginning too. but eventually, the condition subsides. If you were the ones who built it, did you not find the time to inaugurate it in ten years? Why did not the KCR government inaugurate the TIMS hospitals ? The sins committed by the BRS leaders would not be mitigated even if they spent Rs 10 to 20 crores per constituency on public service.

CM Revanth Reddy warned the BRS leaders that people will not trust the party even through false propaganda. The Chief Minister wished for KCR and KTR to remain the same until 2034. As long as the BRS leaders are telling lies, he will continue to tell the truth to the people.

The Chief Minister reiterated that the people’s government accorded top priority to education and healthcare, alongside agriculture and women’s welfare. Abundant opportunities for nursing students in countries like Germany and Japan would help the Telangana youth to get jobs in foreign countries.
