Narsampet, December 05: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that he will fight with the union government to bring more funds to the state and sought the support of the people in the fight against the centre. “I am ready to fight in Delhi if people stand by me to get more funds for the state “.

Addressing a public meeting after laying foundation stones for various development works, the CM said that the state government was implementing welfare schemes and development works which required huge funds. The centre should support the state in its endeavour to achieve the goals.

Continuing tirade against the previous BRS government, CM Revanth Reddy said that the opposition leaders were still adamant even after people defeated the party in the Jubilee Hills by elections. The CM suggested that the opposition leaders maintain decency while speaking in public. The CM also nailed the BRS for threatening the farmers of hanging themselves if they cultivated paddy during BRS rule in the state. The last government also created a lot of hurdles in the distribution of ration cards to the needy . The BRS leaders focused on building their economic empire and ignored Narsampet development, the CM charged.

Emphasizing that education will only bring a transformation in everyone’s lives, the Chief minister said that “It is my responsibility to provide necessary facilities for education. We have filled 60,000 jobs in the first year after coming to power. We will release notifications to fill another 40,000 jobs soon”, the CM said, appealing to the unemployed youth to study hard to get government jobs.

Following the Gram Panchayat elections, CM Revanth Reddy said that the contestants should stop splurging money to win the elections and instead win the hearts of the people. The CM asserted that awareness should be created on village issues and develop them by stopping political factions in the villages. People should elect the Sarpanches who are ready to work in coordination with the ministers and MLAs.

Stating that the Telangana Rising Global Summit is being organized to showcase the state as the best destination for global investment, the CM said that the government was focusing on the development of a strong network of Ports, Airports and Roads and communication technology. The Warangal city would also be developed on par with Hyderabad soon. “We will build an outer ring road, underground drainage and airport for Warangal like Hyderabad. The works of Warangal airport, underground drainage and outer ring road will be started by March 31”. CM Revanth Reddy also highlighted the cultural and historical significance of Warangal district mainly the spirit of Kakatiyas, Sammakka-Sarakka, Chakali Ailamma, Doddi Komurayya, Professor Jayashankar which are visible even today.

Listing the numerous schemes launched by the People’s government, the CM said that a Rs 500 bonus was given to the farmers who cultivate fine rice. We are providing 24-hour free electricity to farmers and disbursed Rs 9,000 crore Rythu Bharosa benefit in 9 days to Rs 25.35 lakh farmers. The credit for waiving off farm loans worth Rs 2 lakh crore belongs to the public government. Today, Telangana emerged as the largest Rice-growing state in the country and distributed fine rice to 3.10 crore apart from issuing ration cards. The burden on state exchequer for distributing fine rice is Rs 13,000 crore.

It was only the congress government built 25 lakh Indiramma houses in ten years during the YS regime from 2004 to 2014 and now we are building 3500 Indiramma houses in each constituency at the cost of Rs 22,500 crores, the CM said entrusting the responsibility of sanctioning another 3500 houses for Narsampet to Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy.

The CM also recalled the contribution of former PM Jawaharlal Nehru in establishing popular universities and construction of irrigation projects in the country. The government has also taken a decision to make one crore women millionaires and launched a slew of schemes for the economic development of women in all sectors. Free travel for women in RTC and ownership of RTC buses by women groups, operating petrol pumps and solar power plants, distribution of Indiramma sarees to women etc are part of women empowerment. The government was already distributing one crore sarees to one crore women. MLAs should take the responsibility of ensuring that every woman above 18 years gets the saree.
