Devarakonda, December 06: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has said that the Government was striving hard to promote the state as number one state in all sectors in the country. The youngest state of Telangana has already achieved number one rank in Paddy production and stood top in curbing drug menace.

Addressing a public meeting, the Chief Minister said that the government was putting efforts to achieve the number one position in the Education and Health sectors. “We will announce and make Telangana development a role model in the country”, the CM said international delegates have been invited to the prestigious Global Summit to be held on December 8 and 9 in the Future city.

Continuing tirade against former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, the Chief minister said that KCR was boasting by sitting beside a few Sarpanches and ward members. The CM ridiculed the BRS President’s comments that ” good days are ahead for people”. It was KCR who put Rs 8 lakh crore debt burdens on the state exchequer and was still eyeing to loot the state. KCR’s son, daughter and nephew already plundered the state. KTR is a big burden to KCR, the CM said that BRS was defeated in the Assembly elections and won zero seats in the Lok Sabha poll. The party also lost to Congress in Jubilee Hills by elections and struggled to find a candidate in the MLC elections. “Two years ago, Telangana people used their adult franchise as a weapon and dethroned the 10-year ruled dictatorial government and brought Indiramma Rajyam in the state”.

CM Revanth Reddy also took a broadside at KCR for not issuing ration cards, deceiving the farmers by not waiving the farm loans and the abandoning the SLBC project deliberately depriving Nalgonda district people of irrigation and drinking water. Further, the CM said that Telangana was the only state in the country distributing Fine Rice and no BJP ruling states including Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Gujarat was supplying.

The CM praised the fighting spirit of Nalgonda district people and recalled the armed peasant struggle for land, freedom struggle against the Nizam tyranny rule. Telangana was formed as a separate state with the sacrifice of Sonia Gandhi and the inspiration given by Dr BR Ambedkar.

The people’s government issued ration cards and maintained the self-respect of the poor, granting 14,000 ration cards in Devarakonda alone and supplying 200 units of free electricity to 50 lakh poor houses. During the YSR regime from 2004 to 2014, the Congress government sanctioned e 25 lakh Indiramma houses to the poor. KCR made the promise of double bedroom houses. We threw a challenge that BRS should seek votes in the villages where double bedrooms were sanctioned and Congress in the villages where Indiramma houses were built. The BRS head built a 150-room house on ten acres at a cost of 2000 crores. We are building 4 lakh Indiramma houses in the state by spending Rs 22,000 crore and 3,500 houses in each constituency. If Congress had been in power for ten years, we would have built 20 lakh Indiramma houses. We have given an additional 25,000 houses in the tribal habitations including Chenchus. The people’s government is committed to the welfare of e Adivasis, Lambadis and tribals, the CM said that it was the Congress party which provided reservations to Lambadis. Former Congress leader Jaipal Reddy did a lot of work to include Lambada community in the STs.

Stating that the government waived Rs 20,000 crore farm loans of 25.35 lakh farmers, CM Revanth Reddy said that agriculture has been promoted as a profitable profession. The Chief Minister also said that it was KCR who warned there will be no electricity and Rythu bandhu if congress voted to power. It was YS Rajasekhar Reddy who signed the file to supply free power to agriculture. The patent right for free electricity belongs to the Congress party. Now, there is no power in KCR’s house as people removed the plugs.

Further, the CM said that with good governance, people are getting free electricity, free bus travel for women, loan waiver for farmers, farmers insurance, fine rice, ration card and much other welfare. 61,000 government jobs were also filled in two years.

Referring to the SLBC project, the Chief Minister said that Congress fought for many years for the completion of the project. The BRS government neglected the project. When 8 people died in an accident in the SLBC, Harish Rao politicized the issue. We will complete the project against all odds created by KCR and his son in law. We have completed the Dindi project for the farmers of Devarakonda. He will take the responsibility of the development of Devarakonda and assure that Rs 6 crores will be provided to the school where Jaipal Reddy studied in Devarakonda, complete the Venkateswara Swamy Temple works and open a nursing college.

The CM reiterated that “We will be in power for the next 10 years. We must be courageous and lead on the path of development.” The CM also announced the construction of roads in Devarakonda, install a statue of Sevalal Maharaj in Maddimadugu and develop it as a place of pilgrimage.
