Hyderabad, January 09: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy appealed to Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu to stop creating obstacles to the approvals for the projects which have been taken up on river Krishna in the erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh.

Calling on all political parties to support the government to resolve water disputes amicably, the Chief minister said that the state was already reeling in economic burden due to stalling of the project permissions and the stoppage of the release of funds by the union government to Telangana.

Speaking after inaugurating Suzen Medicare fluid plant at Maheshwaram today, the CM said that the government was against developing enmity with neighbouring states on water issues. “Our first priority is to find a solution to water disputes and not intensify the conflict with the stakeholders. The Congress party has no intention of gaining political advantage in the guise of the water disputes.”

Further, CM Revanth Reddy said the government accorded priority to safeguard the interests of the people and farmers and was ready to resolve water issues through a dialogue in a friendly manner.

Referring to the government proposal to develop port connectivity for Telangana, the Chief minister also urged the AP CM’s corporation. The problems can be solved if the two states cooperate with each other, the CM said that discussions with the neighboring state will continue for this purpose. “We are seeking mutual cooperation with all neighbouring states- AP, Karnataka, Maharastra and Tamil Nadu”.

The Chief minister highlighted the Telangana Rising 2047 Vision document and the government’s commitment to achieve the target of one Trillion US dollar economy by 2034 and 3 trillion economies by 2047. The CURE and PURE will play a vital role to develop a strong economic activity in the state. Since the city of Hyderabad was already competing with the world’s greatest cities, the CM said that the Telangana state is poised to compete with Germany, Japan, South Korea, and New York. “As part of this, we are encouraging industries started by young entrepreneurs”.

CM Revanth Reddy also noted that 40 percent of the bulk drugs produced in the country are manufactured in Telangana. “We are excelling in the pharma sector, and the entire world is looking at Hyderabad. Those who studied here have become CEOs of global companies. This is a matter of great pride for us.

The CM said that the continuous hard work for the last 30 years yielded desirable results as Hyderabad is able to compete with global cities. It is commendable that a great company manufacturing IV fluids using German technology has been established in South India. The Sujen Medicare manufacturing unit has been established as part of the Telangana Rising 2047 vision. The CM stressed that private investments should be encouraged to generate more job opportunities.
