CM reviews Jagananna Sampoorna Gruha Hakku scheme
Amaravati, Nov 11: Ap Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy held a review meeting on Jagananna Sampoorna Gruha Hakku scheme and directed the officials to take measures to ensure the registration process be transparent and beneficiaries are provided registration with clear title.
During the review meeting held at camp office here on Thursday, the Chief Minister instructed the officials to review the applications regularly and approve them without delay and added that the inquiries at ground level should be completed in stipulated time. He directed the officials to take up awareness programmes for lower level officials and beneficiaries on the implementation of the scheme and added that awareness should be created among beneficiaries that they would get full rights over the assets.
The officials informed the Chief Minister that 52 lakh people have registered under this scheme of which the data of 45.63 lakh beneficiaries have been tagged to Secretariats and added that they have completed ground level inquires and approvals will be completed in 10 days. They said adequate stamp papers are arranged for registration process and measures were taken to complete registration within 10 minutes. The registrations under Jagananna Sampoorna Gruha Hakku scheme will start on November 20 Village/Ward Secretariats and continue till December 15.
Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Botsa Satyanarayana, Chief Secretary Dr. Sameer Sharma, Land Administration Chief Commissioner Neerab Kumar Prasad, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department Special Chief Secretary Y Srilakshmi, Revenue Department Special Chief Secretary Rajat Bhargava, Housing Department Special Chief Secretary Ajay Jain, Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Principal Secretary Gopala Krishna Dwivedi, Revenue Principal Secretary V Usharani, Andhra Pradesh State Housing Corporation Limited Chairman Davuluri Dorababu and other senior officials were present.
CM directs officials to be alert: heavy rains
Amaravati, Nov 11: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday directed the authorities to be vigilant and review the situation from time to time in wake of the stormy weather.
During a video-conference with the District Collectors of Prakasam, Nellore, Chittoor and Kadapa on the situation arising from heavy rains, the Chief Minister called for a high alert in view of the heavy spells, especially in Nellore and Chittoor districts and told the officials to be prepared with SDRF and NDRF teams. He instructed the Collectors to prepare relief camps for taking care of the people from inundated areas with proper facilities and told them to provide Rs 1000 as a relief to every victim.
The Chief Minister ordered the authorities to set up a phone number for the flood victims and coordinate with other departments to evacuate people from flood prone areas. He said to take all necessary precautionary measures to prevent damage and ensure that all types of medications are available at PHCs, Area Hospitals, and District Hospitals along with generators to meet emergency services without any interruption. He ordered that due priority be accorded to power restoration works, plugging breaches to canals incase of the damages and supply safe drinking water to all those affected areas.
Officials of the Meteorological Department informed that the depression will make landfall at Chennai this evening, where the surface winds are close to the speed of 60-70 km. Authorities said that heavy rains are expected in Nellore, Prakasam, Chittoor and Kadapa. They stated that a low-pressure in the Bay of Bengal is likely to make landfall in the southern part of the country as a cyclone by November 17 and to brace for another likely spell of heavy rains.
