Bharat Future City, July 15: Telangana Chief Minister Revnath Reddy invited one of the world’s largest tech companies, Amazon, to further expand its operations and invest Rs one Lakh Crore by 2034 in the Telangana State.
Participating in the groundbreaking ceremony of the Amazon’s Data Center, the Chief minister asserted that such a big company’s new establishment will accelerate investments and also witness an exponential growth in a short time in the prestigious ” Bharat Future City”. The expansion of Amazon will also pave the way for other companies and industries to set up operations in the Future city.

The CM highlighted that the government had in December 2025 organized ‘Telangana Rising Global Summit’ — an event attended by 3,000 corporate representatives from major companies across 108 countries at Future City last year. The goal of “Telangana Rising-2047” is to transform Telangana into a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047. As part of the goal to establish India as a $30 trillion economy by 2047 (Viksit Bharat 2047), the government has prepared plans to increase Telangana’s share of the national GDP from the current 5 per cent to 10 per cent, the CM explained the state has been categorized into ‘CURE, PURE and RARE ‘ zones for a rapid development of the state .

Stating that job creation is also crucial to achieving the investment goals, CM Revanth Reddy said that the government is ready to provide all necessary infrastructure, facilities and clearances for setting up industries. “We are conducting comprehensive monthly reviews on all aspects related to industrial establishment”, the Chief minister said that a special monthly meeting on Amazon’s investments in the state will be held.
The ‘Telangana Rising’ policy was introduced with a vision of establishing the state as a role model in development and also creating specific policies for industry, tourism, energy, health, and sports.

The CM noted that Hyderabad has become a global role model, featuring the Outer Ring Road, IT and pharma companies, and an international airport. With 1.34 crore people living within the Outer Ring Road area, our aim is to create job opportunities while also transforming the city into a pollution-free zone. There is a need to relocate industries within the city, as well as to rejuvenate the Musi River and expand the Metro rail network.

As part of promoting Hyderabad as a pollution free city, CM Revanth Reddy said that the government has prepared plans to convert 3 lakh RTC buses into electric buses. Steps are also being taken to transform the city’s 2 lakh diesel-run auto-rickshaws into electric vehicles through retrofitting and also waiving registration taxes for electric vehicles despite annual revenue loss of ₹1,500 crore. “We are taking proactive measures to ensure that the pollution-related problems seen in other cities across the country do not recur in Hyderabad.” To create more jobs, the government has already established the ‘Young India Skill University’.

The Chief Minister appreciated the farmers for cooperating in acquiring their lands for the development of Regional Ring Road and radial roads. The officials were ordered to resolve minor issues and provide adequate compensation to the farmers. The government has the responsibility of honouring the farmers who contributed to development by giving their lands. The CM also suggested that IT and Industry Minister Sridhar Babu and former MLA K. Laxma Reddy hold discussions with the protesting farmers and ensure creating job opportunities for the families of farmers who lost their lands along with fair compensation.
