CM Revanth Reddy addressed a public meeting organized as part of “ Praja Palana – Pragati Pranalika’ at Jadcherla
Jadcherla, June 5: Telangana Chief Minister Shri A Revanth Reddy demanded former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to come for a debate on the performance of the 10-year BRS rule and two and half years of the People’s Government in the Assembly. “If your name is truly KCR, come forward for a debate. Let us discuss. We are also ready to apologize If we are at fault”, the Chief minister remarked.
Addressing the public meeting, the CM continued his tirade against the previous BRS government for not completing the projects including Palamuru Rangareddy lift scheme. The Chief minister exposed the misdeeds committed by the KCR Government in the release of funds and misappropriation of the loans borrowed for the construction of the projects. “We are ready for a debate on the performance of the KCR’s regime and the present government in the Assembly”.
CM Revanth Reddy also came down heavily on Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for playing a ‘hide-and-seek ‘game on the river Godavari waters issue. The CM questioned the BJP leaders and union minister for evading the same issue and not taking the responsibility to address the issue. “We will hold them accountable and demand answers on the issue. We will complete the Tummidihetti project against all odds”, the Chief minister declared.
Explaining the plights of the Palamuru district people for decades, the CM said that the people of this region embraced KCR and gave a big mandate to BRS. Not a single project was completed in the Palamuru district in 10 years. “Our lands received no irrigation water, and our hardships remained unresolved. Now, the BRS leaders unfolded a fresh drama of Padayatra. Let them walk to Kashi and perform porlu dandalu (rolling prostrations). The sins committed by the BRS leaders would not be washed away”. The Chief Minister charged that KCR won elections from Palamuru and abandoned the region to contest from Gajwel.

Stating that the government was working with a resolve to provide irrigation water to an ayacut of 26 lakh acres in Palamuru district, the CM reminded that KCR spent Rs one lakh crore on Kaleshwaram over ten years, yet he failed to provide even Rs 800 crore rupees when Uddandapur was submerged. The BRS government jailed the displaced people and beat them. “My government spent Rs 8,000 crore rupees on the project in just 30 months in the district.

CM Revanth Reddy warned KCR that the Palamuru people will bury the BRS party and will not win even a single assembly seat in the district. The Chief minister cautioned people of Palamuru to remain vigilant. “Thieves and looters will come to cheat again. Beware of those who act as accomplices to these thieves. The Congress party will remain in power in the state until 2034. We will bring Congress back to power in 2029. This is my challenge to KCR”, the CM said.
The Chief minister said that it was his responsibility of securing approval for 90 TMC of water for the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme and also ensuring funds are sanctioned for Palamuru district projects via the ‘Green Channel’.

The Chief minister listed the welfare and development programmes introduced by his government to uplift the poor by providing housing, education and other schemes. We are building schools and constructing an education hub in Kodangal so that students can pursue any course of study right here in Palamuru district. The CM stressed that education alone brings light into your lives and appealed to people to ensure your children get educated which only can improve lives.

There is not a single Thanda or Gudem (hamlet) without an ‘Indiramma’ house, CM Revanth Reddy said that the government sanctioned 4.50 lakh ‘Indiramma’ houses, supplying 200 units of free electricity to 50 lakh families and distributing 15 lakh ration cards. Rs 10,000 crore were spent on free bus travel for women. The number of welfare schemes introduced by the People’s government are innumerable.
