GOVERNOR’S AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE- 2025
Awardees of Governor’s Awards for Excellence announced
Hyderabad, January 23: The Hon’ble Governor has instituted the Governor’s Awards for Excellence first time in the year 2024 and awards to the individual and organisations have been presented on 26.01.2025 in the fields of Environment Protection, Divyangjan Welfare, Sports & Games, and Culture. During this year, 2025 the Governor’s Awards for Excellence have proposed in recognition of outstanding contributions and voluntary service by individuals and organizations in four fields i.e., Women Empowerment, Tribal Development, Rural Health & Medical Philanthropy, and Corporate Volunteering.
In November 2025, nominations were invited from individuals and organizations demonstrating excellence in their respective fields, through both offline and online modes.
The Governor’s Awards for Excellence were thoroughly scrutinized by the distinguished Awards Selection Committee, headed by Shri K. Padmanabhaiah, IAS (Rtd.) former Union Home Secretary and Padma Bhushan awardee and Chairman, Administrative Staff College of India, Hyderabad. The other members of jury are Sri C.R.Biswal, IAS (Retd.), Former Special Chief Secretary to Government, Dr. Sunita Krishnan, Padmasri Awardee & renowned Social Worker and women activist, Dr.Chinnababu Sunkavalli, Health Care Specialist and Sri Ramesh Kaza, Secretary General, Society for Cyberabad Security Council.
The following individuals and organizations have been selected for awarding this year, 2025 in the respective categories;

• INDIVIDUALS:
- Women Empowerment – Smt. Rama Devi Kanneganti, Hyderabad.
- Tribal Development – Sri Thodasam Kailash, Waghapur, Adilabad Dist.
- Rural Health & Medical Philanthropy – Dr. Pradyut Waghray, Hyderabad.
- Corporate Volunteering – Sri. V.Rajanna, Hyderabad.
• ORGANIZATIONS: - Women Empowerment- Sri Sai Social Empowerment Society, Ghatkesar.
- Tribal Development – Indigenous Development Organization (IDO), Gattumalla (V), Bhadradri-Kothagudem dist.
- Rural Health & Medical Philanthropy – Ramdevrao Hospital, Hyderabad
- Corporate Volunteering- Give for Society, Ghatkesar
Each award carries a cash prize of ₹2,00,000 and a citation that recognizes the outstanding achievements of the awardees. The awardees will be felicitated by the Hon’ble Governor in a special ceremony on 26th January 2026 at Lok Bhavan, Hyderabad.
