Hyderabad, March 16: Prof Shankar Chatterjee, Hyderabad received the Man of Excellence Award from the Indian Achievers’ Forum (IAF) for 2021-22. The award has been given in recognition of outstanding professional achievement & contribution to nation-building. The primary goal of IAF is to promote MSMEs and Startups and to ensure that the government and society as a whole understand both the needs of the business community and its contribution to the nation’s well-being. Many stalwarts earlier were awarded by IAF such as Smt. Kiran Bedi, Retired IPS; H.E Abdullah Al Saleh, Minister for Foreign Trade, Ministry of Economy UAE; Balram Jakhar, Former Speaker, Lok Sabha; and many others.
Anyway, Shankar Chatterjee has published 33 books (individual and joint) and around 500 plus research papers, articles, comments, letters, etc., In addition, more than 1000 comments/views were uploaded in the Digital column of the leading newspapers. He visited many countries as well as across India for academic activities. In January 2019, he received a Lifetime Achievement Award from EAST (Environmental Advisory for Sustainable Trust), Tamil Nadu in the programme on International Academic Excellence Awards -2019. He acted in a Telugu cinema and in his college days represented Assam State Hockey Team in All India Junior National Hockey.
